On the heels of a successful showing at TCEP, our residents, program manager and faculty represented McGovern Med at UTHealth with award-winning poster presentations, thrilling case presentations and engaging lectures.

Drs. Catie Reynolds, Katie Fisher, and Jenn Grodus all presented posters and Dr. Reynolds took home the award for the Best Innovation poster.

Drs. Jon Giordano and Ryan Fitzgerald both performed expertly on their Clinical Pathologic Case Competition presentations, with “Fitz” winning his division and a trip to ACEP to compete in the finals!

Drs. Hilary Fairbrother, Jon Giordano, and Gowri Stevens gave an excellent lecture together to a packed room, with Drs. Fairbrother and Giordano followed up with another lecture later the same morning.

Kandice McLeod gave an excellent lecture to the EM Association of Residency Coordinators.

Dr. Katrin Takenaka, Fairbrother and Van Meter served on various moderator/judge panels for CPC and poster sessions.
