The Department of Emergency Medicine continues to grow with more wonderful faculty members. We’re excited to introduce Dr. Keegan Tupchong who is amazingly fellowship-trained in both ultrasound and critical care.
Dr. Tupchong is originally from Toronto, Canada. He went to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then completed residency in emergency medicine at the NYU School of Medicine where he also served as chief resident. He stayed on as faculty at NYU for several years, completed an ultrasound fellowship, the ACEP Teaching Fellowship, and was named Academic Attending of the Year in 2017.
Since then, Dr. Tupchong completed a fellowship in critical care at the University of Maryland Medical Center / R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Dr. Tupchong will be spending his clinical time in both the emergency department and the intensive care unit.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Tupchong enjoys running, tennis, and is fascinated with deliberate practice and grit. He describes himself as the lucky husband of Carrie, and they spend their days chasing after their rambunctious one-and-a-half-year-old Evan.
