Special Guests at Grand Rounds
On Thursday, our department had the privilege of hearing Dr. Oren Wacht, EMT-P, Ph.D., Dr. Keila Lopez, MD, MPH, and Dr. Jacqueline Okere, MD speak at Grand Rounds.
Dr. Wacht is the Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Academic Director of the Medical Simulation Center at Ben Gurion University, Israel and spoke on the “Preparedness of the Israeli EMS and Hospital to Mass Casualty Events of War.”
Dr. Lopez is an Assistant Professor for Pediatrics-Cardiology at Baylor COM and Director of Transition Medicine, Section of Pediatric Cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital whom was accompanied by Dr. Okere spoke on the topic of “Health Inequities, Health Policy and Lifelong Pediatric Chronic Disease: Can we Improve Outcomes?”
