Dr. Gowri Stevens: Empowering Community Health at UTHealth Houston’s Health Fair & Marathon Event

Kudos to our very own Gowri Stevens, MD for her contributions to UTHealth Houston’s Health Fair and 2023 Houston Half Marathon & 10k!

Dr. Stevens, Associate Professor & Co-Director of EM’s Mobile Simulation Training Unit (MSTU) at McGovern Medical School, played a vital role in the recent health fair and marathon event, which was organized by UTHealth Houston and saw over 6,300 participants whom benefited from health screenings and preventive care.

UTHealth Houston served as title sponsor, highlighting the institution’s commitment to health empowerment and wellness. MSTU team members’ including Dr. Stevens, volunteered to support runners along the course, promoting heart health, preventive care, and a fit lifestyle.
