UTHealth x Spring Branch ISD: Hands-On Healthcare Training
Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals
Our team recently partnered with Spring Branch ISD for Health Care Simulation Day at Houston City College – SB Campus, where students explored careers in medicine and nursing through hands-on learning and real-world simulations.
Students participated in interactive stations including Stop the Bleed training / certification, trauma assessment skills, and the Mobile Simulation Training Unit (MSTU) – all designed to build confidence and introduce them to critical healthcare skills.
They also had the opportunity to hear directly from UTHealth Houston – McGovern Medical School and Cizik School of Nursing students and recruiters during the “So You Want to Be a Healthcare Provider?” panel, learning about pathways into healthcare and what it takes to pursue careers in medicine and nursing.
A huge thank you to the students and staff from McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing, and our Stop the Bleed trainers who made this simulation day such a meaningful and impactful experience. Your time, expertise, and mentorship allowed students to develop real-world skills, build confidence, and begin envisioning their futures in healthcare.
