IMS-iRS Joint Meeting 2026

Welcome to the homepage of the IMS-iRS Houston 2026 Joint Congress!

As current President of the International Meningioma Society (IMS), I have the privilege of organizing a unique Joint Congress of the IMS and the International Rhoton Society (iRS) in Houston,Texas, 17-20 November, 2026. This will be the 14th IMS Congress and the 5th iRS Congress. I also welcome you on behalf of iRS President, Wen Hung Tzu, and the entire iRS Board.

In the tradition of the past meetings of both of these great societies, topics will include state of the art presentations about meningiomas, both cranial and spinal, from molecular genetics, to surgical approaches and outcomes, as well as comprehensive presentations on the entire field of neuroanatomy, including 3D presentations and applied surgical neuroanatomy for both cranial and spine. In essence, all neurosurgical subspecialties will be represented. We will take advantage of the coming together of meningioma surgeons and disciples of surgical neuroanatomy to create integrated sessions. Dr Nickalus Khan is chairing a large Scientific Program Committee (SPC) composed of 25 members from diverse specialties. They have put together a first-class Program that is sure to impress.

Whether you are an invited Faculty, an Abstract presenter or a Participant, you MUST complete the Registration Form and pay the registration fee HERE. In our efforts to remain fiscally responsible, we cannot confirm your participation in the Congress until you complete the registration form and pay the fee.

We are anticipating the participation of more than 500 neurosurgeons from around the world. For your convenience, the Congress venue and the hotel accommodation where we have reserved a limited room block are at the same location: The Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston, a beautiful facility conveniently located in the heart of the Galleria district in Houston, near many shopping, restaurant and entertainment venues. We have secured an amazing discount for our group ($184 per room/night), as long as rooms are booked early and the block remains available. Secure your hotel room as soon as possible and consider extending your stay with your family at the same discounted rate. Make your hotel booking HERE.

The Congress will feature pre-meeting hands-on courses on November 17 (details coming soon), followed by 3 full days of scientific sessions (plenary and concurrent) on November 18, 19, and 20, featuring invited lectures, special speakers, debate panels, and oral and electronic abstracts. There will be exciting daytime activities for spouses and unique social events each evening, taking full advantage of the unique venues that Houston has to offer. The Congress will end with a wonderful Gala dinner on Friday November 20, we therefore encourage you to stay in Houston at least until Saturday November 21.

We are accepting abstracts in a wide variety of topics, under both tracks: IMS and iRS. The Scientific Program Committee (SPC) will determine if your abstract is best suited for Oral Presentation or Electronic Poster. We encourage you to SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT here (BEFORE JUNE 19, 2026):
