The Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and affiliated with the physicians at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School is a well-established quaternary referral center for complex fetal anomalies. As a national referral center and international leader in fetal diagnosis, fetal intervention and comprehensive fetal care for infants with congenital anomalies or genetic abnormalities, The Fetal Center coordinates care for patients throughout the Greater Houston area, the state of Texas and around the country.
The Fetal Center performs over 150-200 fetal intervention procedures per year, including 60-70 fetoscopic laser surgeries, 30 selective reductions, 40 intrauterine transfusions, and 15-20 in-utero spina bifida repairs.
