What are you most excited about this year?
I’m most excited about learning anything and everything about palliative care from all of the outstanding attending physicians in our program and beyond. I’m also excited for whatever life has in store for me after finally completing training!

Why did you choose Hospice and Palliative Medicine as a subspecialty?
I chose hospice and palliative medicine because I’m constantly put in positions to help those who are most vulnerable. I think that being able to assist families with the trauma and psychosocial stress of seeing their loved ones depart this world is rewarding not just in this life, but also the next.

What is the most fun thing you want people to know about you?
The most fun thing about me is probably the fact that I’ve been able to travel to 40 countries, with more on the horizon. Traveling is undoubtedly food for the soul and something I’m looking forward to even more now that I have two sons (who I love and appreciate more than life itself) to create lasting memories with.
