MHH Geriatric Consult Service

The division offers inpatient consultation services at Memorial Hermann Hospital. The consult service cares for geriatric patients on other surgical and medical subspecialty services. They help manage both medical issues related to the older patient’s care as well as geriatric issues, such as

• Delirium evaluation
• Cognitive evaluation
• Polypharmacy
• Functional decline
• Falls
• Failure to thrive/malnutrition
• Elder abuse
• Pre-operative evaluations/post-operative medical management

This service is staffed by Drs. Renee Flores, Dr. Dana Giza, Rachel Jantea, Min Ji Kwak, Nahid Rinaon, Holly Holmes and Jessica Lee.
