Humanities in Dermatology
This elective offers medical students the opportunity to interact and learn from Humanities and TMC dermatology faculty about dermatologic diseases in a humanities framework. Students spend time engaging with books and film, observing visual art, and discussing the effects of dermatological conditions on patients. The series is a collaboration between McGovern Medical School’s Department of Dermatology and McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics, led by student coordinators Danyal Tahseen and Deepika Narayanan.
The course will be offered virtually with small group discussions. All sessions begin at 7:00 pm and will be held via WebEx. Students must attend 4 of 5 sessions to receive credit.
