Candidates will be:

  1. Graduates of a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
  2. Graduate of a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  3. Graduate of a medical schools outside the United States or Canada who, as of the date of graduation therefrom, meet all of the following qualifications:
  4. Received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG);
    ii. Is eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. licensing jurisdiction;
    iii. Completed an ACGME accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency or the equivalent.
  5. Foreign applicants may only be sponsored through ECFMG under J-1 visas.

Candidates will be selected from eligible applicants on the basis of residency program-related criteria such as their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity.  The program will not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, or any other applicable legally protected status.

 

General Obstetrician-Gynecologists considering continued training through a formal minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship are highly encouraged to seek this option.
