Winners of the 2022 McGovern Medical School Pilot Grant

Congratulations to Drs. Cynthia Ju and Kangho Kim for winning the 2022 McGovern Medical School Pilot Grant Award.

This award will facilitate close a collaboration between the Ju and Kim Labs to identify functional significance of de novo EET biosynthetic pathway upon hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury. It has a great potential to discover new therapeutic targets for the patients with chronic liver diseases.

The McGovern Medical School Pilot Grant Program supports full time faculty to obtain preliminary data for new lines of research.  This gives a priority to the collaborations of research teams and mentorship of junior faculty members. More information on the grant can be found here.
