The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at UTHealth is pleased to announce that Drs. Onyi Onuoha and Stephanie Bradley have been appointed as Assistant Program Directors to the residency program. Drs. Onuoha and Bradley will join the current roster of Assistant Program Directors, Drs. de Haan, Campbell, Guzman-Reyes, and Brollier, working closely with the Vice Chair for Education, the Residency Program Director and Residency Office to lead the residency program. We would like to thank the residency leadership for their efforts with the search and everyone who applied for these positions.
Dr. Onuoha attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she also earned a Master of Public Health degree. She completed her residency and obstetric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Onuoha has previously served both as an Assistant Program Director and a Fellowship Director during her time as faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. Her prior leadership roles, knowledge of graduate education, and clinical experience make her an excellent addition to the residency leadership.
Dr. Bradley attended medical school at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston and also earned a master’s in public health from the UT School of Public Health in Houston. She completed her residency with our department. In her final year, she served as a chief resident. Following her residency training, Dr. Bradley completed a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s in Boston and then returned to our institution as faculty. Dr. Bradley is an active mentor to several of our residents and medical students. Her enthusiasm to go above and beyond and her commitment to education will greatly benefit the residency program.
