Dr. Jamal “Jamie” Hasoon is a double board-certified physician in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a degree in Medical Humanities. He then completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Hasoon furthered his training at Harvard Medical School – Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he completed advanced fellowship training in interventional pain management and was awarded Outstanding Pain Fellow of the Year. In addition to his practice, Dr. Hasoon has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals on topics including migraine headaches, pelvic pain, low back pain, peripheral nerve stimulation, and spinal cord stimulation therapy. He has special interests in minimally invasive therapies for spinal stenosis, compression fractures, peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Hasoon strongly believes in a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to pain management to reduce his patients’ level of pain and increase their quality of life. Dr. Hasoon remains active in the medical community through his memberships in the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Anesthesiology, and Texas Society of Anesthesiology. In his spare time, Dr. Hasoon enjoys watching college sports, movies, video games, smoking BBQ, and traveling.
