On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPM) Appreciation Lunch was held to honor the dedication and contributions for the 120 center members. Hosted as a token of gratitude, the lunch served as a moment to reflect on achievements and acknowledge the incredible work that has gone into increasing research endeavors at the center.
The event was highlighted by a heartfelt speech from our esteemed Co-Directors, Dr. Holger Eltzschig and Dr. Cynthia Ju. Both expressed their sincere thanks for the time and effort that each CPM participant has invested in pushing the boundaries of research. Their words emphasized the collective drive behind the center’s mission and the immense value each member brings to the team.
The lunch itself was made more special by a delicious catered spread from Peppers Twins, by Susan Truong and her restaurant team. The thoughtfully prepared dishes were a fitting complement to the gathering, offering both a delicious meal and a chance for meaningful conversations among the attendees.
This appreciation lunch wasn’t just about good food – it was a moment to celebrate the unwavering commitment each member has shown. Their passion and dedication to the center’s work has had a lasting impact.
As we continue to move forward, the CPM team remains a key driving force behind groundbreaking research and collaboration. The lunch served as a reminder that while achievements should be celebrated, the work ahead is just as important. We not only celebrated the past year’s accomplishments but also set the tone for future successes. We look forward to continuing this journey together, knowing that each member’s dedication is invaluable to the ongoing mission. We are looking forward to the upcoming graduation from the center to the new Institute for Perioperative Medicine.
