Honoring Dr. George W. Williams II, MD

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our esteemed colleague and friend, Dr. George W. Williams II. A dedicated physician, educator, and leader in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Medicine at UTHealth Houston, Dr. Williams touched countless lives through his clinical excellence, mentorship, and unwavering compassion.

 

Dr. Williams was known not only for his medical expertise but also for his commitment to advancing perioperative care and supporting the next generation of anesthesiologists. His legacy lives on in the many students, residents, fellows, and faculty he inspired throughout his career.

 

To honor Dr. Williams’ contributions and continue his impact, UTHealth Houston has established the George W. Williams, II, MD Memorial Fund. This fund will be used to create memorials in George’s name, as well as establish lasting endowments that align with his passions of education and advocacy.
