Burn ICU

Burns ICU Daily Hints:

• Morning Report 630-7 Herman, 3rd floor
• Morning Report on Tuesday 630-7 in basement of med school followed by sticu M&M 7-8
• Burns Rounds usually at 7, except on Tuesday (M&M) and Thursday (grand rounds/M&M). In room Jones 825.4.
• Surgery Grand Rounds Thursday 7:00-8a 3rd floor med school lecture hall followed by M&M Surgery Conf 8-9
• Burns weekly meeting on Tuesday 12:30-1:30
• Burns Grand Rounds  1x/mth, check board outside of burns conference room, Jones 825.4,  for schedule
• Trauma Grand Rounds 1x/mth. Ask attending (who will probably direct you to someone else) for date and time.
• Your priority is to know and round  on icu pt. They are usually rounded on first by attending. Intern and PA put orders in and write note.
• You are expected to perform the anesthesia for sticu cases (including burns) 1x/wk. Talk to Dr. Williams about setting this up.
• You are allowed to scrub into cases, but this is not why you’re in the ICU
