CCM POWER Lab

The POWER Lab (Perioperative Outcomes Workgroup for Education and Research) is the research arm of the division of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology at McGovern Medical School. Its focus is to study the effects of intraoperative and postoperative management on long term patient outcomes. Formed in March 2016, it is designed to be a meaningful vehicle for studying current practice and improving that practice through:

  • Robust quality review and clinical trials
  • Systematic prospective and retrospective data analysis
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and research productivity
