CCM Fellowship Board Review, Advanced Skills Education and Teaching
Our multifaceted curriculum is brand new and extremely comprehensive. There is a focus on ensuring our fellows pass their boards as well one on getting to have face time with specialists from other disciplines. When appropriate, we combine our lectures with the surgical critical care fellows in order to promote cross-department camaraderie and more lively discussions during lectures. Our multipronged approach is comprised of discrete efforts outlined below:
- Weekly guest lectures from experts in their field
- Board review sessions that include online CCM board style questions done before the class followed by discussion with a critical care faculty member
- Keyword conference that goes through the content outline for the board exam
- A critical care ultrasound curriculum designed to ensure all of our fellows feel ready to take the certification exam from the NBE upon completion of their fellowship
