Harris Health System’s Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital
Harris Health System’s Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital is a 200-bed Level III Trauma Center/Community Hospital located on the northeast side of Houston. It is the busiest Level III Trauma Center in the United States. LBJ Hospital is one of Harris Health System’s facilities: an integrated health system providing care for nearly 400,000 people in Harris County.
We provide anesthesia services for general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, OMF, ENT, ophthalmology, and vascular/thoracic surgery.
In addition, we have an active obstetric service (2,500 deliveries per year), an acute pain management service, a busy regional anesthesia service, and an increasing volume of outside OR procedures. As the UTHealth campus in this area, we are active in medical education for residents and students. In addition, we train student nurse anesthetists and EMT students.
