The Graduate Medical Education in Humanities and Ethics, or GME in H&E is a 9-month program offered through the McGovern Center to residents and fellows of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. The program facilitates resident/fellow physicians’ knowledge and skills in humanities and ethics and promotes their wellness. GME in H&E launched in August 2022 with its inaugural cohort, comprised of residents and fellows from various clinical departments at McGovern Medical School. The GME program will welcome Cohort 4 in September 2025.
