The Office of Educational Programs (OEP) provides general administrative oversight and management for all aspects of undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. In addition to supporting the undergraduate curriculum, OEP provides workshops for residents on teaching and feedback skills as well as a wide array of educator development opportunities including yearly workshops, the Educational Scholars Fellowship Program, and the Master’s of Education program through the University of Houston. Additionally, educational specialists are available to work one-on-one with departments and programs to create faculty development opportunities to fit specific departmental/program needs.
The Office of Educational Programs also provides expertise and support in the use of educational technology, both within the undergraduate medical education curriculum as well as within McGovern Medical School’s residency programs. Read more about Educator Development and Educational Technology.
