Fall Research Forum – November 3rd – Cooley Center

The Fall Research Forum is an opportunity to celebrate student research and scholarship across McGovern Medical School. The event will highlight research completed through the 2026 Summer Research Program (SRP), along with research conducted by students outside of the SRP.

The Forum will feature student research presentations, the Webber Prize competition, and an Exhibition Poster Session showcasing the work of our student researchers.

Houston Global Health Collaborative Offering Grants

Do you have an interest in Global Health opportunities? Do you have an interest in local community health projects? Do you have an active Global Health project or opportunity and would like some funding? The HGHC Winter 2026 Grant Application Cycle is now open, and we are looking to give out funding (up to $1000 per project per cycle!).

If you have an interest in Global Health, we are looking to fund projects and educational opportunities that will impact the Houston Global Health community both locally and/or abroad. Applications will close October 16th.

The Graduate Archer Fellowship Program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston)

About the Archer Center:

Founded in 2001 by Congressman Bill Archer as he retired from 30 years of service in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Archer Center serves as the Washington, D.C., campus of The University of Texas System. The Archer Center seeks to educate the next generation of leaders from Texas and instill in them a love of public service. Program Overview: Live, Learn, and Intern in Washington, D.C.

The Graduate Archer Fellowship Program provides graduate and medical students from institutions across The University of Texas System with the life-changing opportunity to live, learn, and intern in our nation’s capital during the summer. Home to many government, nonprofit, media, and research institutions, Washington, D.C., provides unparalleled opportunities for career growth and cultural experiences, enabling students to explore their interests in federal policy and public service.

While in Washington, D.C., students earn in-residence UTHealth Houston credit for their coursework and gain hands-on work experience in an internship. Through a shared cohort experience, Archer Fellows build lasting friendships and professional connections.
