Biography

Dr. Rhashedah Ekeoduru is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. There she was encouraged to think critically and to prioritize scholastic progress in the field of medicine. Dr. Ekeoduru’s educational philosophy is to help student learners and junior faculty develop these same skills. She takes pride in being a successful educator and mentor for the UTHealth community of learners since 2013. Dr. Ekeoduru has been successful in this mission to date, being a recipient of several teaching awards and having been an invited speaker locally, regionally, nationally and internationally greater than twenty times.

Dr. Ekeoduru’s areas of interest are Biomedical Ethics, Pediatric Trauma, and Complex Pediatric Airway Management. She provides high-caliber, interactive operating-room based instruction and encourages students to develop critical problem-solving skills.

Dr. Ekeoduru is a resourceful and dedicated educator who has served as the medical director of the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Master of Science in Anesthesia Program, Houston location for six years. Dr. Ekeoduru has a wealth of experience with curriculum development. She was a content creator for the National Anesthesia Toolbox learning database, she revitalized the pediatric anesthesiology fellowship curriculum at UTHealth, and has been instrumental in developing the curriculum for the inaugural UTHealth Master of Science in Anesthesia Program.
