Integrated Medical Science

Doctoring – The Doctoring Course focuses on History and Physical Exam Skills during the first semester.  A longitudinal preceptor experience occurs during the second and third semesters. Thus, students acquire substantial clinical experience before their required clerkship rotations.

Foundations of Medicine – The Foundations of Medicine module occurs during the first semester. This course has two themes. The first is the review of cellular mechanisms that are necessary for understanding disease processes. The second is the review of structure and function necessary to perform and interpret the physical exam.
