Medical Innovation Student Interest Group (MISIG)

Our mission is to provide exposure and opportunities for innovation in medicine in a variety of specialties and healthcare needs. We will be inviting speakers who will introduce us to various technological advances in biotechnology, surgical devices, and medicine. We will also be hosting faculty from Rice University to lead three hands-on workshops that focus on applying innovation to the medical field, starting with “Finding Unmet Clinical Needs” on October 3rd.

We are having our first meeting on Tuesday, September 12th, from 12-12:50 in MSB 3.301. The meeting will feature Dr. Uwe Fischer, a vascular surgeon, who will be giving us an Introduction to Innovation in Healthcare. Below is a Webex link for those who cannot attend in person.
