Winn CIPP is a program initiative of the Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Award Program, a $114 million program funded by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, Gilead Sciences, and Amgen.
The goal of the Winn CIPP is to expose URiM and/or medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds to career pathways in clinical research, particularly community-oriented research that is focused on increasing inclusion, equity, and diversity in the conduct of clinical and translational research. |

2024 PROGRAM DATES
The 2024 Winn CIPP will take place during two 6-week program periods:
Group 1: June 3 – July 12, 2024
Group 2: June 10 – July 19, 2024
AWARD
66 underrepresented in medicine (URiM) or medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing an MD, MD/PhD, DO, DO/PhD will be awarded a $7,500 stipend to participate in a 6-week summer externship at community-based clinical research sites across the nation to gain exposure to the following:
- Clinical Research
- Community Engagement
- Leadership Development
