Special Projects
Special Projects are electives with MMS faculty that are arranged on an individual basis. They allow you to pursue a specific interest with a particular faculty member.
There are two types of Special Projects at MMS, clinical or research focused.
- SPEC 4000 is reserved for clinical electives
- SPEC 4001, is reserved for research electives
- You can complete up to two blocks of research for elective credit, unless in the Academic Career Track or an MD/PhD student
At least 30 days prior to the start of the Special Project, complete and return the Special Project Form to OASA for approval by either Dr. Lahoti or Dr. McNeese. You will be notified via email once the project is approved and provided a permission code to enroll in the course.
Completion and submission of the MMS Y4 Elective Evaluation Form following a special project is the student’s responsibility. You can access the forms below:
