Welcome to the Department of Anesthesiology – New Team Members for August and September 2022

We would like to welcome the below new faculty and staff members to the department.

Naureen Fatima, PhD

Dr. Fatima joined the department on September 12^th as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support Dr. Kyle Poulsen’s research group.

 

 

 

 

 

Collin Conrad, MD

Dr. Conrad joined the department on September 1^st as an Assistant Professor to support our cardiovascular anesthesia group. He completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and his cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia fellowship at the McGovern Medical School at UT Health.

 

 

 

 

Osamudiamen Obanor, MD

Dr. Obanor joined the department on September 1^st as an Assistant Professor to support our cardiovascular anesthesia and critical care groups. He completed his residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX and his fellowship in critical care medicine at Duke University Hospital in  Durham, NC.

 

 

 

 

Vy Tran, MD

Dr. Tran joined the department on September 1^st as an Assistant Professor to support our pediatric cardiovascular anesthesia group. She completed her residency  at the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, LA, and her adult and pediatric cardiovascular fellowships at the McGovern Medical School at UT Health.

 

 

 

 

Ashley Upton, MD

Dr. Upton joined the department on August 29^th as an Assistant Professor to support our pediatric anesthesia group. She completed her residency and fellowship at the McGovern Medical School at UT Health.

 

 

 

 

Meera Gangadharan, MD, FAAP, FASA

Dr. Gangadharan joined the department on August 8^th as a Staff Physician to support our pediatric CV group. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX and her fellowships at the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR.

 

 

 

 

Adrienne Buemio, CAA

Adrienne joined the department on August 15, 2022 and works with the anesthesiology care team at Memorial Hermann Hospital—TMC.

 

 

 

 

 

Mayada Shokeir, CAA

Mayada joined the department on August 15, 2022 and works with the anesthesiology care team at Memorial Hermann Hospital—TMC.

 

 

 

 

 

Diana Bui, CAA

Diana joined the department on August 8, 2022 and works with the anesthesiology care team at Memorial Hermann Hospital—TMC.

 

 

 

 

 

Mai Hassan, CAA

Mai joined the department on August 8, 2022 and works with the anesthesiology care team at Memorial Hermann Hospital—TMC.

 

 

 

 

 

Francis Tan

Francis joined the department on July 25, 2022 as an Administrative Assistant. She will be providing administrative support to the CRNAs and CAAs at Memorial Hermann Hospital and the ASC.
