Congratulations to Drs. Yafen Liang and Paul Potnuru on obtaining a consortium grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Liang will serve as the PI for the grant, and Dr. Potnuru will serve as Key Personnel.

For this collaborative project, Liang and a group of her research colleagues will utilize machine learning and AI tools to examine the role donor-recipient blood type mismatches play in heart transplantations using the UNOS database and help reduce health disparities by formulating interventions.
