New Residency Assistant Program Directors Announcement

The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at UTHealth is pleased to announce that Drs. Jane Egbosiuba and Sanjana Malviya have been appointed as Assistant Program Directors to the residency program.  Drs. Jane Egbosiuba and Sanjana Malviya will join the current roster of Assistant Program Directors, Drs. Daniel An, Hayden Jefferies, Daniela Magdaleno, and Onyi Onuoha are working closely with the Vice Chair for Education, the Residency Program Director, and the Residency Office to lead the residency program.  We would like to thank the residency leadership for their efforts with the search and everyone who applied for these positions.

Dr. Jane Egbosiuba earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in our department, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She is passionate about medical education and deeply committed to the professional growth and development of residents. Dr. Egbosiuba is honored to join the team and looks forward to making meaningful contributions as she supports residents throughout their training journey.

Dr. Sanjana Malviya attended both medical school and business school at the University of Michigan. She completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. Following residency, she pursued a fellowship in adult cardiothoracic anesthesia at the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Malviya joined UT Health as faculty in August 2023 and currently practices primarily at the Heart and Vascular Institute. She is passionate about residency education and research, and has taken a leading role in coordinating the orientation and education of residents during their first month of cardiac anesthesiology rotations. Her research interests include the management of perioperative atrial fibrillation and transfusion thresholds in cardiac surgery. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Malviya enjoys long-distance running and spending time with her husband and four-year-old son.
