Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Program Director Announcement
The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at UTHealth is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Christina Goehl as the new Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Program Director, effective May 1, 2026.
Dr. Goehl completed her medical school education at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, followed by residency and fellowship training at the McGovern Medical School at UT Health Houston, joining our faculty as Assistant Professor in 2023.
A charismatic educator and devoted clinician with a strong focus on regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine, Christina Goehl has been an inspiring role model to our trainees and peers alike. Called to serve as Interim Program Director at a time of challenging transitions, she has helped preserve and strengthen our tradition of excellence. Her leadership, energy and forward thinking will continue to elevate our program and our specialty!
