Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship

Welcome to the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program at the McGovern Medical School at UT Houston, a one-year ACGME-accredited program with an option of doing another year of non-ACGME accredited Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiology Fellowship.

UT Health Science Center at Houston lies in the heart of Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. UT Houston, like it’s sister 49 institutions is a non-profit organization that is constantly indulged in providing excellent patient care, advanced research, technology, continued education, and local, national, and international community well-being.

 

Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital( CMHH)  is affiliated with the McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. At the CMHH approximately 10,500 anesthetics are performed annually which includes 300 complex neonatal and 2000 outside location cases. The hospital has one of the nation’s largest neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) and provides care to more than 1,000 premature infants each year.

“The Fetal Center” at CMHH is a well-recognized program, comprising of  maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatric surgeons and anesthesiologists.  The team provides state of the art care to the mother and the fetus diagnosed with congenital fetal abnormalities.

The Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology is a very close-knit faculty unit. Each faculty is a strong and fierce advocate of the patients and trainees. The faculty is dedicated to provide a multifaceted education program so that they can excel clinically, academically, and professionally.

Our fellowship trained faculty not only provide excellent patient care but also create a friendly learning environment for the trainees. The fellows are provided with material and mentorship for mental wellbeing.

The program believes in well-being of the faculty and the trainees so all efforts are made to promote a professional environment.
