Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship

Welcome to the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program at the McGovern Medical School at UT Houston, a one-year ACGME-accredited program with an option of doing another year of non-ACGME accredited Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiology Fellowship for interested candidates.

UT Health Science Center at Houston lies in the heart of Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. UT Houston, like it’s sister 49 institutions is a non-profit organization that is constantly indulged in providing excellent patient care, advanced research, technology, continued education, and local, national, and international community well-being.

Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital (CMHH), a 234 bedded hospital is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. It is a nationally ranked pediatric acute care teaching hospital and is affiliated with the McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

It houses one of the nation’s largest neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) and treats more than 1,000 premature infants each year.

The Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology at UT Houston, Texas Medical Center performs approximately 10,500 anesthetics annually. This includes 300 complex neonatal and 2000 outside location cases.

Our close-knit faculty is a strong patient and a fierce resident/fellow advocate and is continuously engaged in providing a multifaceted education program to the trainees. We train our graduates to excel clinically, academically, and professionally. By the end of the fellowship, our fellows are able to work independently on national and international level.

We are big proponent of mental wellbeing, diversity and quality improvement and that is reflected by our faculty involvement in various DEI and community outreach programs.
