2025 Medical Student Calendar
November 19 Job Fair – MSB Leather Lounge, noon – 1pm
February 1 Online Application deadline for Dean’s Contribution Funds (DCF) considerations; supporting documents must be received by (11:59 pm CST)
Students are encouraged to submit an online application to take part in the Summer Research Program after the February 1 deadline.   Contact the [email protected] if submitting your application AFTER April 1st.
Late March Approximate date of funding notifications
Late March-Early April MS-1 Meeting (mandatory attendance) (stipend paperwork, seminar information, expectations, call for student ambassadors for college student campus tour)
May 26 (tentative) Orientation (mandatory attendance)
May 27 Research begins with mentor department
Mon. – Fri., 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
No vacation during the 10-week program (Exception to May 27th Memorial holiday, June 19th Juneteenth, and July 4th holiday)
Thursday VIRTUAL Seminars – Noon – 1pm:  Choose eight out of ten sessions starting 5/23rd – 7/25th (mandatory virtual and in person attendance when offered to receive blue book credit)
July 31 (tentative) Closing Program (this may count as your 10th seminar session)
September 15 Abstract DUE by 3:00pm
September 15 Webber Prize Competition Nomination Form DUE by 3:00pm  (Volunteer participation – faculty mentor nominate entry)

Oct. 30- Webber Competition results

Research Forum-Poster Presentation (mandatory participation for all SRP students)
Webber Prize Competition – (Voluntary entries – REQUIRE faculty mentor nomination form by September 16th)

Non SRP students may present your poster in Research Forum event; contact Mrs. Linh Trinh by September 1st.
