Ethics Small Group
Faculty members serve as an Ethics Small Group facilitator for MS2 students. Facilitators meet with their group of 8-9 students once a month during the fall semester. There are a total of 5 sessions scheduled on Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:00. The sessions go over the following ethics topics:
- Research Ethics
- End of Life
- Emerging Technology
- Hot Topics
- Physician Advocacy
A facilitator guide is provided with all the information needed for each session including the case, pre-readings, and discussion questions. In addition to meeting with the students, facilitators will grade their students’ advocacy assignments completed in the last session and also complete a short evaluation on each student.
