Educational Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is centered around dynamic learning, hands-on experiences, and innovation. My primary passion is for medical students and residents which involves fostering an environment that helps them apply their knowledge to medicine and develop critical thinking.
I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged and challenged.  My favorite modality of learning is use of simulations and hands-on activities.

I think it is important to Instill a sense of purpose in students by emphasizing the profound impact they can have on patients’ lives.  Simulation allows for students to reflect on their management and interactions during the sessions.

I believe that mentorship is an important part of education and helps students navigate the challenges of medical education and training. Fostering relationships between faculty, residents, and students helps create a supportive learning community where students feel valued, empowered, and motivated to excel.
