Policy on Access to Medical Students’ Educational Records
Medical students’ educational records, maintained by the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs (OASA), will only be available to authorized individuals.
Faculty members and members of administration involved in educational activities are permitted to review a student’s educational record if needed to perform tasks in order to fulfill their professional responsibilities, including for the purposes of preparing a letter of reference/recommendation or for review for consideration for membership or induction into national honor societies. Faculty requesting such review must submit their signature and reason for request. A log of approved access is maintained.
Students may view their educational records maintained by OASA at any time by request to OASA.
The educational record may not be removed from the OASA.
