Reece Caldwell is a dedicated medical educator advancing anatomy education and curriculum innovation at McGovern Medical School. In her role as Staff Educator within the Office of Educational Programs, she plays an integral part in shaping the gross anatomy curriculum through hands-on cadaver dissection, evidence-based instructional design, and high-impact learning experiences that support the development of future physicians and health professionals.

Reece’s work centers on integrating rigorous anatomical science with learner-centered pedagogy. She collaborates with faculty and staff to design and refine lab experiences that promote active learning, clinical application, and spatial reasoning. Her approach emphasizes mastery of human structure through immersive dissection, peer-teaching, and team-based exploration, helping students build confidence and competence early in their medical journeys.

Beyond core instructional duties, Reece is also pursuing advanced studies as a doctoral student, furthering her expertise in medical education and leadership. Her academic interests include innovative applications of technology and active learning strategies in anatomy and health sciences.

Reece holds a Master of Education (MEd) from the University of Texas Austin and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Texas State University. She brings a strong record of teaching, mentorship, and educational leadership to the UTHealth community.
