Research

The rhinology research program consists of a basic and clinical science arm. It is headed by  Amber Luong, MD, PhD. The basic science research focuses on the pathophysiology of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), specifically the role of fungi as an environmental trigger for the Type 2 immune response characteristic of CRS. The clinical research aims at investigating the effectiveness of novel therapeutics for sinonasal diseases.
