Advanced FATE Course

Cost: $1,800 (includes USabcd modules, breakfast, and lunch on the day of the workshop)
CME Credits: 6 hours

Objective 

To provide the attendees with advanced skills to perform all extended cardiac views and the most clinically relevant Doppler ultrasound: pressure estimation, assessment of cardiac output and left ventricular diastolic function.

The following topics will be covered in groups of 5 participants each:

  1. Basic FATE
  2. Extended 2-dimensional imaging views
  3. Basic doppler ultrasound principles
  4. Advanced doppler ultrasound for pressure estimation, cardiac output estimation and assessment of diastolic function
  5. Advanced clinical scenario training

Prerequisite 

Completion of USabcd Basic FATE workshop or similar at least 6 months prior, or have a valid ASA POCUS certificate

Target Audience 

Physician Anesthesiologists, critical care physicians, intensivists, emergency room physicians, surgeons

Class Format 

Flipped classroom format and practical hands-on sessions. Mandatory eLearning modules must be completed via USabcd prior to attending the hands-on session.
