What do you like about our program? I love how everyone is so supportive and willing to help, whether it’s my own class, senior residents, or attendings.

Hobbies? volleyball, cooking, playing with my dog at the park, hanging with friends.

Fun Fact: I have a dog named Koda—he’s a Havanese with a big personality packed in a small, fluffy body. He's got a full-time gig hiding all my socks, his special way of contributing to the household.

What do you like about our program? I love my class of co-residents and also the upper-level residents who have been very supportive in helping us adapt to the operating room! I also love that we have strong leadership who take our concerns and feedback seriously.

What do you like about our program? I love how supportive my co-residents are as well as how approachable many of the attendings are. Also it's a so awesome that I get to train in the TMC and at one of the busiest Level 1 Trauma Centers in the country.

What do you like to do in Houston? Some of my favorite experiences in Houston so far have been watching Mutton Bustin’ for the first time at the Rodeo and going to Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar (which was not at all what I was expecting)! I’ve also been loving the food scene here — Rodeo Goat, Cascabel, Pappa Rich, and Mamaka Bowls are some of my go-tos. When I’m in the mood to unwind, I like taking walks around Hermann Park or along the Buffalo Bayou.

What do you like about our program? I really appreciate the camaraderie in our program — it’s something you can feel both in and out of the hospital. The residents and faculty are incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely approachable, which makes it such a supportive environment to learn in.

Hobbies? Spending time with friends and family, dancing, hiking, watching TV, eating ice cream.

Fun Fact: If I wasn’t a doctor, I’d be a contestant on The Amazing Race (but who knows, maybe I’ll still do it)!

What do you like to do in Houston? Golfing when it isn't 110 degrees, grilling for my co-residents, perusing food options in arguably the best food city in the country.

What do you like about our program? Not to beat a dead horse, but the teamwork is unparalleled here. We have a giant class and still work together so well. We came in as interns with great mentorship, often meeting with our older peers up to twice monthly. Dr. Markham is an awesome PD and one of the main reasons I came all the way down here from Kentucky, not to stroke his ego too much. Anesthesia can definitely be daunting, but there has never been a moment where I haven't felt supported even when I've felt like I lacked capability. I will also be ready for anything after residency seeing that I am training at the busiest trauma center in the United States.

Hobbies? Frisbee golf, biking, golfing, fishing, pickle ball.

Fun Fact: I bought a one-way ticket to live in a village of 2,500 people in Spain to learn Spanish before medical school. I lived in a 1200sqft house with 17 others without AC.

What do you like about our program? Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It is a very learner friendly environment. Attendings and upper levels are willing to teach and offer their help!

Hobbies? Dancing, watching competition tv (survivor, big brother), longboarding, experimenting with food recipes, and traveling.

Fun Fact: In 2024, I finally learned how to swim (still cannot float though).

What do you like about our program? Our program does an excellent job of hiring good humans. We are constantly helping each other out, and I couldn't be happier with my co-residents. Here in the TMC, we also have the incredible privilege to learn from attendings who have trained all over the world, and we encounter some of the most challenging and rare illnesses.

Hobbies? Welding, woodworking, and trying to fix anything I can before calling a repairman. And often, daydreaming about my next trip to Greece.

Fun Fact: I worked on a cattle ranch in Montana for 5 summers.

What do you like about our program? The program strikes a great balance between high-acuity cases and a supportive learning environment. I feel like I’m being challenged and growing every day—but with the guidance I need. Also, all of the residents are cool and easy to hang around.
