What do you like about Houston? I’m new to living in Houston, but grew up visiting my cousins and extended family here. I love exploring the city's amazing food scene, going to karaoke with my new co-residents, going to concerts, going karaoke with go residents, and spending time with loved ones. I’m also excited to keep discovering all the hidden gems Houston has to offer!

What do you like about our program? The people! Everyone I’ve met so far has been incredibly kind, warm, and supportive. It truly feels like a place where people lift each other up, and where I could grow and enjoy the next four years alongside an amazing community.

Hobbies: Dance, cooking, travel, vlogs, content creation.

Fun Fact: I was once featured by Doja Cat on Spotify as the cover for some of her songs!

What do you like about our program? Everyone here is incredibly welcoming, kind, and supportive! Even as a medical student, I felt the residents and faculty were invested in me from day one. I also value the high patient volume, as well as the diversity and complexity of cases.

Hobbies: Trying new restaurants, golf, pickleball, running, spending time with friends and family, baking bread.

What do you like to do in Houston? I have a big family in Houston, so I love spending time with my cousins. Also, karaoke at One Shot with my co-residents is always a good time!

What do you like about our program? I chose to stay at UTH because of the people. The faculty are really supportive, and my co-residents always try to find time to hang despite our busy schedules.

Hobbies: Traveling, hiking, watching F1, and hanging with my cat Checo.

What do you like about our program? Everyone from attendings to residents are so friendly and welcoming. I knew I wanted to join a program that had amazing leadership and faculty that would support me!

Hobbies: Walking my dog, binging tv series, and eating pizza!

What do you like about our program? I love how welcoming and supportive everyone is here. Every resident and faculty I've met seemed so happy to be there and has always been there for any questions or concerns I've had!

Hobbies: I love watching movies, lifting weights, playing sports, and eating new food!! Also, a huge fan of Boston sports!!

What do you like to do in Houston? I love how big the program is! It makes it easy to build community and feel like you belong. It's never hard to find a group of people to hang out or go to happy hour with!

What do you like about our program? What solidified my interest was just seeing the residents interact on my interview day – everyone seemed to enjoy being a resident at UT and have lots of fun doing it. Being in such a huge medical center, I also look forward to the challenge of taking care of some really sick patients and, hopefully, become a better physician because of it. Living in Houston is awesome, too.

Hobbies: Skiing, cooking Korean food, watching reality TV, going on long walks outside.

Fun Fact: I've skydived in Hawaii (and survived).

What do you like about our program? The people!!! I could not have asked for a better community to train alongside. We are very fortunate to have an exceeding amount of support from our PD, chiefs, faculty, and co-residents.

Hobbies: Pickleball, golf, going to concerts, collecting sneakers, hanging out with friends.

Fun Fact: I was the lead singer of a band in high school. My favorite gig was performing at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney.

What do you like about our program? Love the vibes here with the faculty and the residents. Everyone is supportive and invested in your success. The TMC is also an amazing place to train.

Hobbies: Outside of medicine, I enjoy working out, exploring new coffee shops, watching sports, and spending time with friends. I also love being outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk, hiking, or visiting national parks when I get the chance.

What do you like about our program? What stood out to me most was the welcoming culture and strong sense of camaraderie among the residents and faculty. Everyone I met seemed genuinely supportive, and it felt like a place where people look out for each other and grow together.

What do you like about our program? UT Houston anesthesia program offers the perfect balance between clinical excellence, supportive mentorship, and real-world experience. The case variety at a major medical center like Memorial Hermann and affiliated hospitals means I'm constantly learning and growing—from routine cases to high-acuity trauma and transplant anesthesia.Plus, being in Houston offers exposure to a diverse patient population, preparing us for anything.

Hobbies: Running, reality tv, concerts.

Fun Fact: I have two rescue dogs that are the loves of my life.

What do you like about our program? I really enjoy the size of the program because it makes me feel well-supported and allows us to build strong relationships with so many different people. I also love the exposure we have to the unique types of cases here in TMC.

Hobbies: I love playing board games - I have definitely amassed a huge collection throughout med school. I also love to dance and I’m not sure if eating is a hobby but the food in Houston is amazing that I can’t help but mention it again!!

Fun Fact: I have a cat named Gia who my boyfriend and I raised since she was two days old and she literally the light of my life (and also a little bit of a menace but don’t tell her I told y'all that)!

What do you like to do in Houston? I love to go to H-town sporting events, especially the Astros. I also love eating at all the great restaurants we have here!

What do you like about our program? The culture is really friendly, and everyone is super easy to get along with. Also, the training is excellent, and you will come out very clinically strong.

Hobbies: I have recently got back into reading and have loved reading psychological thrillers. I also love to go on walks with my dog if it's not the summertime!

Fun Fact: I know how to juggle! I learned in elementary school, and it's stuck with me since. I can juggle small items to bowling pins!

What do you like to do in Houston? So far, I've been exploring a lot! Trying new foods and seeing new places. Recently I went to the Galleria and the waterwall. On my free time, I am also trying new foods or spending time with my two dogs.

What do you like about our program? The training residents get here is unmatched, and the support from faculty, staff and co-residents was a huge factor in me choosing this program.

What do you like about our program? Even though it is a larger program it feels like one big family. There are still lots of events and you do a lot of happy hours and activities together.

What do you like to do in Houston? I've really enjoyed exploring the city with my co-residents! Trying out the various restaurants and meeting people. It's a very active city, people are extremely friendly and there's always something new to see or try. And the food is incredible...

What do you like about our program? The residents and faculty have been incredible! Everyone is extremely supportive and willing to take the time to teach, lend a hand or just check up on you. The culture and camaraderie in this program is unmatched and whatever you may be interested in, be it research, future fellowships, hobbies, career aspirations or just the need to socialize, there is someone that will take the time for you. Navigating residency is hard, but when you have a team like this one around you, it becomes much more manageable.

Hobbies: Hiking, basketball, volleyball, any sport and attempting karaoke with my co-residents.

Fun Fact: I played on the university basketball team throughout medical school.
