Internal IRB Committee

The department’s internal IRB committee consists of members of the department who are experienced research scientists. They include clinicians and basic research scientists. They meet on a monthly or on an as-needed basis to review IRB applications submitted by department members before they are sent out to the institutional IRB. They provide feedback on the regulatory aspects and scientific rigor of the proposal.

All clinical studies requiring institutional IRB approval will first be submitted and presented at the internal IRB committee first. The members of the internal IRB committee include:
