Biography

Linh Trinh transferred to The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) as a Senior Recruiter in 2002 and later became McGovern Medical School’s Senior Recruiter.  She has over twenty-two years of recruiting experience in the academic and healthcare industry.  Linh thrives on working with faculty, administrators, staff, and medical students at all levels (local and international) and she is passionate about helping students find a perfect mentor match!  When she is not working, she enjoys baking, gardening, crafting, photography, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and family pets.

Education

Linh graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.  Additional education in Cost Accounting, and training in the areas of Leadership Development, Relationship Management for HR Business Partners, and Quality Criteria based on the Malcolm Baldrige Award standards.

Areas of Interest and Responsibility

She is a certified Behavioral Performance-Based Recruiter.  Her interests include the use of behavioral performance-based interviews, workshop presentation techniques, and the Principal of Self-Talk to connect students and faculty and to enhance a successful relationship.

Students are welcome to schedule individual meetings with Linh to discuss scholarly interests, opportunities, and how to investigate interests.
