Special Projects
Special Projects are electives with MMS faculty that are arranged on an individual basis. They allow you to pursue a specific interest with a particular faculty member.
There are two types of Special Projects at MMS, clinical or research focused.
- SPEC 4000 = Clinical Special Project
- SPEC 4001 = Research Special Project
- You can complete up to two blocks of research for elective credit, unless in the Academic Career Track or an MD/PhD student
At least 30 days prior to the start of the Special Project, complete and upload the Special Project Form to the MS4 Portal along with your enrollment request. You will be notified via the MS4 Portal once the project is approved and provided a permission code to enroll in the course.
Completion and submission of the MMS Y4 Elective Evaluation Form following a special project is the student’s responsibility. You can access the forms below:
