Pediatric Anesthesia Fellow Bootcamp: A 2-day intense bootcamp in collaboration with 5 other pediatric fellowship programs with simulation and workshop on key topics such as lung isolation, Difficult Airway Management, Regional Anesthesia, POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound), Ultrasound-guided vascular access etc.

Disaster Preparedness Workshop: Annual workshop conducted by a Special Interest Group (SIG) member at SPA.

Fellow Educational Series: 60-minute didactic sessions each Thursday that focus on advancing fellow knowledge through problem-based learning discussions in accordance with the SPA (Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology) goals and objectives.

Fellow Teaching Series: Annual lecture to the PICU and the NICU fellows. Fellows choose 1 educational topic from the ACGME Clinical Core Competencies to present each year to the Anesthesiology Residents during their Pediatric Anesthesiology rotation.

Journal Club Series: Quarterly sessions presented by residents and led by fellows who critically dissect the article of interest and evaluate its impact on patient care.  The goal is to increase the exposure to medical literature, help adapt to changes in evidence-based practice and develop critical appraisal skills.

Grand Rounds Series: It is mandatory for our fellows to attend the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) Grand Rounds that takes place every Thursday at 7:00am in McGovern medical School (2.006)

Oral and Written Board Exam Preparation: Individual and group sessions with faculty, including ABA (American Board of Anesthesiology) Examiners, that focus on the advancement of medical knowledge and exam-taking techniques in preparation for the ABA Applied Examination.

ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Course: In collaboration with Pediatric Surgery team.

Regional Workshop: Workshop in collaboration with the Regional Anesthesia Team.
