Scholars Program

Due to the growing need for postgraduate training in anesthesiology, the UTHealth Anesthesiology Scholars Program was established in an effort to attract future physician-scientists within our residency program. The Anesthesiology Scholars Program is a formal institutional postdoctoral research track for the most promising and accomplished academic physicians in the field of anesthesiology.

Anesthesiology residents, fellows and junior faculty are all eligible to apply for the Scholars Program.

The Program will provide financial support and protected research time for the Scholars to receive training and develop independent research projects. Resources such as seminars, workshops and career development courses will also be available for the Scholars to build a solid career foundation in academic anesthesiology.
