Benjamin Cooper, MD, MEd

Associate Professor
Associate Program Director

Ben has been on faculty in the department of emergency medicine at McGovern Medical School since graduating from residency in 2015 at the UTSW/Parkland program in Dallas. He discovered medicine through a prior life as an engineer, and hasn’t looked back. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director and oversees all conference-related didactics. He is also co-creator of ECG Stampede, and lead author of ECG Stampede: A case-based curriculum in electrocardiography triage. In addition to over-ordering ECGs, Ben is passionate about medical education and aims to empower the next generation of emergency physicians to always do what’s right…especially when there’s a transvenous pacer involved.
