Onboarding Process

Onboarding Process

    1. In the days leading up to the first week (which will start with orientation and transition to clinical duties), our department will coordinate with you on arranging for a professional picture to be taken for our department website, and an email and blog post to announce your addition to the department. Guillermina King is the point person on this.
    2. You will be assigned a faculty mentor to help you transition to your clinical duties. You will be put in touch with your mentor prior to your start.
    3. You will be given a division-specific (ie. general, CV, pediatric, etc.) onboarding guide that contains information from the call structure and pay to how to get Pyxis and scrub access, and most everything in between. This will be a good reference guide as you start, in addition to your faculty mentor.
    4. Dr. Eltzschig would like to meet with every new faculty member within the first few weeks of starting, to touch base and welcome you. A meeting with Dr. Suresh, the Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs, will also be arranged soon after you start.
