Impactful Inventions
In honor of Black History Month, McGovern Medical School is honoring great achievements by Black inventors who have created products that have had a lasting impact on the health field as part of February’s exhibit of the Art Wall.
Models of products honor the work of Intisar and Rashid Mahdi (Browndages); Charles R. Drew (transfusion of blood plasma); Frederick McKinley Jones (automatic refrigeration for trucks); Mary Kenner (sanitary belt); and Otis Frank Boykin (electrical capacitator).
